Prior to founding Trow Jones, Mark had a successful 15-year career as an
interest-rate derivatives broker on the financial markets in London.
He’s also lived in Japan, Spain and France.
Running his own business and raising a family in Bronte was always
the long-term dream for Mark. Off-duty you’ll catch him walking his dog
Milo on the Bondi to Coogee coastal path, at Nippers on Bronte Beach
or barbecuing a steak with a glass of red wine.

Mark Jones sold our house in Bronte discreetly off-market for the price we wanted after just three inspections with a vetted group of serious buyers.
We gave Mark strict parameters of what we needed: to know a realistic price and a realistic time frame so we could look for our next property with confidence and sell without disrupting our busy lives.
Mark was very strong on strategy and able to execute what we needed. No inflated expectations, no pressure, but a lot of well thought through advice and hard work.

I engaged Mark Jones from Trow Jones to sell my house in Bronte, after a frustrating experience with a well-established local agent, who managed my price expectations down to below what I’d paid for the property three years prior and convinced me to pay top dollar for advertising, complete a long list of ‘improvements’ and take the property to auction. When the three ‘very interested’ buyers didn’t register at the auction, I realised I may have misplaced my trust.
From the outset, Mark’s approach was quite different. The only promise he made was that he would work hard, consistently, honestly and collaboratively with me. Which is exactly what happened. My property was quite niche and Mark advised it could take time to find the right buyer at the price I needed.
Due to a combination of bush fires and Covid, it did take some time. Over that period, I got to know Mark and see how much integrity he brought to the sales process. I’ve bought and sold homes and investment properties before and experienced all the ‘little tricks’ many agents use - such as overvaluing your property in order to get your business and then advertising your property for sale at a far lower price.
Mark was honest and upfront about everything. He worked and negotiated hard on my behalf. I don’t know of another agent in the Eastern Suburbs that would have shown the tenacity and patience that Mark did; he never pressured me to take a lower offer or drop the price and took my personal values into account when promoting the property and negotiating with buyers.
Throughout the process, Mark communicated with me consistently, consulted me on strategy and went out of his way including working viewings around my Airbnb bookings and doing inspections when buyers wanted them.
My experience was so overwhelmingly positive that I recommend Trow Jones 100%, and will be using Mark whenever I sell again. Mark achieved nearly $200k more for us than our neighbours who sold their mirror image property a few months earlier.
