Waverley

Waverley sits on the hills behind Bronte and Clovelly, rubbing up against Bondi Junction to the north. It’s a bit of a sweet spot for those who like to be close-ish to the beach but also close to the hub of Bondi Junction, with its excellent transport links, supermarkets and retailers running the spectrum from K-Mart to Gucci.

Charing Cross village is at the heart of Waverley and is a wonderful collection of independent boutiques including homewares, florists, hairdressers, vintage designer fashion and a contemporary indigenous art gallery among others. You’ll always spot a queue outside Frank’s Deli for their next-level sandwiches and coffee.  Bellagio Cafe is Trow Jones’ favourite place for brunch in the Waverley neighbourhood, but Ruby’s Diner gives it a good run for its money. Adding to the charm of the area are the green open space and playing fields of Queens Park, just behind the village.
Waverley Public School is the local primary school, Waverley College is a private boy’s high school and St Catherines is the local girls’ private school. Waverley is well serviced by buses and Bondi Junction train station.
